This forms a large part of Gordon’s practice. It was an area of particular interest at University and throughout practice, Gordon has been regularly instructed on all manner of contractual issues ranging from the supply of goods and services, construction contracts, insurance contracts and shareholder agreements to contracts for the exportation and importation of goods such as truck parts and cooking oil.
Gordon is often instructed to review and advise on contractual interpretation, as well as, drafting terms and conditions for his clients.
Usually in the Magistrates’ Court and occasionally in the Crown Court, Gordon has been instructed in the defence and prosecution of marine regulatory matters. His experience in health and safety as well as criminal procedure has also resulted in Gordon being asked to represent clients who are being investigated and/or prosecuted by shore side regulatory bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive and Local Authorities.
Working in one area has often had the domino effect of providing Gordon with knowledge, experience and expertise of other disciplines. Other work areas include negligence, professional negligence, claims in bailment, restitution and property disputes.
